FROM THE NORTH:
From I-29 and I-35, follow the signs for I-35 South. Take the Exit 2F-Oak/Grand/Walnut on the right side. Continue on Exit to Walnut Street, turn right (north). Continue driving north on Walnut Street, and you will drive right into the City Market.

FROM THE EAST:
Head West on I-70 toward Kansas City. Just before entering downtown, follow US highway 24 West about a mile to take Exit 2F-Oak/Grand/Walnut on the right. Exit to Walnut Street, turn right (north) on Walnut Street, and you will drive right into the City Market.


FROM THE SOUTH:
Head North on I-35, toward Des Moines. Take the Main Street Exit, 2D. Continue east on 6th Street to Walnut Street. Turn left (north) on Walnut Street, go over the bridge and you will drive right into the City Market.

FROM THE WEST:
Head East on I-70 into Kansas City. Take the Main Street, Exit 2D. Continue east on 6th Street to Walnut Street. Turn left (north) on Walnut Street, go over the bridge and you will drive right into the City Market.

5th & Main on both the North and South Sides of 5th Street.

PRIVATE LOTS :

Please respect the private lots for neighborhood loft and apartment residents.

WHERE TO STAY:
There are several area hotels, motels and bed & breakfast options within a short drive to the Market in a variety of prices. Contact the Convention and Visitor's Association by phone at 866-292-3758 or follow this link: for a list of near by accommodations.




ALCOHOL
No alcoholic beverages can be brought into or taken out of the City Market area. Additional security is required for events when alcohol is served. The City Market supports responsible drinking at all times.

AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA)
All events will comply in all respects with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and regulations issued. The City Market was built prior to the ADA, thus some requirements may fall under the grandfather clause.

ANIMALS
Dogs are not permitted within the City Market square, pavilions, building walkways or retail locations unless serving in an official ADA capacity. BOX OFFICE AND TICKETING
Tickets for all City Market events may be purchased in advance by calling Ticketmaster at (816) 931-3330, Monday - Saturday (9:00 am - 9:00 pm) and on Sundays (9:00 am - 5:00 pm) or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

Day of event ticket purchases are subject to an up charge.

Will Call is defined as tickets purchased in advance to be picked up at a later time. Will Call is available the day of event only, when the box office opens prior to event. Guests must present a photo I.D. to pick up tickets.

Tickets must be left under the name of the person of the person who will pick them up. If there is a need to change the name, the person who left the ticket must do so or the authorized pick up person must do so in person.

CAMERAS AND RECORDING DEVICES
Camera policy for each event is given by artist direction and subject to change on an event-by-event basis. If by chance, a guest brings a camera or recorder to an event in which such devices are not allowed, the guest will be asked to return that item to his or her vehicle.

CAPACITY
Events will not exceed maximum occupancy of 10,000. The City Market reserves the right to deny further entry in order to protect public safety.

CONCESSIONS
Concession stands are open during events, which serve a variety of food and drink options. No outside food/beverage is allowed.

DOORS OPEN
Doors generally open one (1) hour prior to the scheduled event time. This may vary, depending on the event. Guests are encouraged to come early to avoid delays.

GUEST CONDUCT
The City Market strives to provide its guests with a safe, comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. Therefore, the City Market has established the following guidelines:
*Guests interfering with other guests' ability to enjoy the event may be subject to ejection.
*Guests using foul or abusive language or inappropriate or unacceptable gestures may be ejected from the City Market.
*Guests appearing impaired may be ejected from the City Market and turned over to the authorities.

NO RE-ENTRY POLICY

Once a guest leaves the City Market during an event, there is no re-entry permitted unless another ticket is purchased.

PARKING
There are a number of parking lots and street spaces accessible for City Market events. A parking fee of $10.00 will apply to all City Market parking lots during concerts. Please refrain from using private lots. Cars left in the City Market Square after 4 am on Saturdays or 6 am on Sundays will be towed at owner's expense.

Backpack and other bags if permitted may be subject to search

Water bottles (one sealed water bottle per person may be allowed when under a heat advisory. Please call for verification)

Port-a-johns are placed throughout the property during events for convenience of guests' use.

SMOKING

Smoking is not permitted inside the buildings of the City Market. Smoking in any building of the City Market is strictly prohibited by City Ordinance #59050.
